It's been awhile and I'm in the kitchen...

Welcome back!
They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. I know our kitchen is one of our favorite rooms in our Home. We haven't had sun in about 14 days the meteorologist said today, so I found a few pictures in my gallery that shows the sun and also shows how much light we get in our kitchen. If you've been following me for awhile you may remember our kitchen used to be red you can see it here. That is when we painted our kitchen this Espresso color. It's been about 5 yrs, but we still love this color and with all the bright light we get it handles it quite well!

One of my favorite spots is my coffee station right here by my window seat.

Just grab a mug and have a seat...

This whole wall is windows and the door to our backyard
lots of Sunshine!

Living in an older Home we have really high ceilings. They are about 11 ft. downstairs
My latest design theme is Industrial Farmhouse...we have lots of galvanized items, along with ironstone. Pretend you don't see the items on the bench seats...Oops! It's Real Life here!

I wanted a cow head to hang my aprons on. But I found the pig first, then I found the bull/cow, then I found the goose and then the rooster...all at either Thrift Stores or Estate Sales.  They fill this space well and they hold my aprons! I actually wear my aprons. Do you wear an apron?

They're quite large!

Then I found these cute little guys. The middle one is about 5"x 4"
and the other two are about 4" x 3.5" (if your're interested).
I couldn't pass them up!

I really like our kitchen at night. The light in real life isn't quite as bright,
but it adds a soft glow to the room....makes it inviting!

I found this plate a while back at Target and of course I had to have it
The cow came from a Thrift Store and my candle is from Finding Home!
I've really enjoyed this scent. My husband makes maple syrup for us
so I had to have this candle! They have some other lovely scents you
might want to check out for yourself here

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my kitchen. I'd love to hear what your up to

  3. Your kitchen does get a lot of light! I also really like your sink location...not against a wall, but where you can see what's going on...very nice.

    1. Hi Vee, I'm always happy to see you had the chance to stop by. I like where my sink is too and with the wall of windows plus the door to outside it's especially nice in the summer. Not sure I have all the kinks out of my commenting issues, but still getting lots of traffic. Thanks for stopping, have a delightful day!
