My Gnome Garden

Wow, I didn't realize I had been gone that long!
Well I really wasn't "gone", I did visit on occasion. I've enjoyed
how everyone is getting their gardens, decks and porches all prettied
for summer.  I've been working on that myself.  That's what I enjoy most
about the season.  So this year I had to redo my fairy garden because
my plants didn't survive the extremely cold winter we had.

I guess I really shouldn't have called it a fairy garden, I didn't really have any
fairies in it.  But for some reason this year these cute little gnomes caught my
eye and well.....I just couldn't help myself.

Let's just say he had me at Hello Welcome!
And then I found the orange polka dot solar light. I had the little birdie....

But I couldn't resist the sunflower garden pavers and the little mushroom
house and snail....you do see him right?

This was what it looked like mid summer last year.

Of course the birdie had to have a little house to perch by.  And what do you
think of the mini cigar plant?  Well, it was so cute and had the right pop
of red amongst all the green of the hens and chicks, chamomile and English Thyme.
I think the little garden stones added just the right amount of texture and
brightened things up a bit too!

And you'll also notice my other little homie gnomie sitting on the garden bench chillaxin!
My youngest asked me If I didn't think I was just a bit too old for a fairy garden!
I think not!
How about you....do you think I'm too old or do you have one too?
I'd love to know!

As always Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
Today I am sitting in the critical care unit with my FIL who is 83 yrs old.
He fell down a flight of stairs last night and fractured his C1 vertebrae.  So far they
tell us he will not need surgery, but will have to be in a neck brace for the next 3
months.  So hard to see his pain!  So please say a prayer for a speedy recovery.
It could have been so much worse!  Bless you all and stop by again soon!

So sorry for for you FIL.... will pray for a speedy recovery!

    1. Thank you for stopping by! My FIL is doing quite well and able to do much of his daily living without assistance. Meals and transportation of course are what he needs help with. 7 more weeks, at least, in his neck brace. Then we will see from there!
