For those of you who may not know....
or don't recall the few posts I have done.  This is my Dad.
He has not been doing well for a few weeks.  Not sick necessarily, but
without going into too much detail he has had some issues going on.

He is not one that ever "thinks" he needs to see a doctor.
 Imagine almost 17 yrs ago
when we had to convince him to go to the doctor....
first time I ever remember him going
because he was having major issues and turned out he had to have a
Triple Bypass

So these past few weeks have taken a toll on him and he actually
asked one of my sisters to make an appointment
for him to see the doctor. That was this past Monday.
He got the results back yesterday morning and was to have tests done
this morning at the hospital.
My sister told me she would call me when done.
It's 4:49 p.m. his appt. was at 11 a.m. this morning
No One has called....

I am going to give my sister a call and see what she can tell me.

This is the hard part of living 1 1/2 hrs away from family!

Please say a prayer for my Dad!
Thank you for stopping by!

Happy 82nd Birthday Dad....

Dad to 6 adults Kids
ranging in age from
63 to 48
Grandpa to 20, ranging in age from
40 to 17
&
GREAT Grandpa to 20+, I've lost count, ranging in age from
about 15 to baby....

 this is my sister Rochelle
she's about 5 yrs older then me....
I'm the baby!
Her husband was out of town.

She ordered these fabulous roasted peanuts that
the restaurant roasts themselves....
Our family loves peanuts!

We met at a pizza place called
Cascarelli's
located in a small southern town in Michigan
if you live anywhere near you've probably heard of it.

This is my brother Emzy "MZ" with Dad....
Odd name you say....
not to us, he was named after an Uncle.
I'm told it comes from the Bible!
He named his son the same....
and his son did the same!
They're everywhere!

 Emzy & Kathy....
not an odd name, but a sweet addition to our family for sure!
Love you Kathy!

This is my sister Melinda and to her left (actually the bearded guy)
on her right,
is her husband Mark Tank....
Love this guy!
Big Teddy Bear for sure!

 Someone ordered these cheesy breadsticks....
by the time they got to our side of the table
and I remembered to take a picture
this is what was left!
That's how good they were!

We all ordered a different 16 inch pizza....
one didn't even make it to the table yet....
Yes, there were leftovers!
Ooooo so Good!

 ~Cheesy Goodness~

The one in the hat is our oldest sister Barbara
& her husband Darryl
They got us all together to celebrate.
There were some stories that came out
as they tend to do when family gets together.
Memory Lane is visited....
lots of laughter....
GOOD Stuff!

Then it was Happy Birthday time....
My brother and my hubby
brought their instruments, brought them in
and we sang to our Dad....
He doesn't look to sure about this,
he said he was glad he didn't bring his
hearing aides....ha, ha!

But, we had fun and are
~Thankful~
that we were able to celebrate another
Birthday with him!

Happy 82nd Birthday Dad!
Love You!

I have a question?....

What would you do or better yet think, if you turned on your computer in the morning, opened your email and found this from one of your sisters?  She also sent it to our oldest sister at her work place email!

"Hello:  Can’t find Melinda’s email address for some reason, so you’re the only one getting this.  Got a call from Dad around 5:15 tonight asking where I was.  Said was still  at work, leaving in about 10 minutes, is everything ok.  He said, no. He was shaken.  I said are you ok.   He said no, I  went outside to get the mail and I fell and hit my head and blood is running down my face.  I said, Dad, I’ll be there in 10 minutes.   Flew out.  Got there.  Yes, he cut his head open, but didn’t require stitches.  He was shaken by every sense of the word.  He hurt his wrist area, but not sure how much.  I packed some ice and got him settled in and his wrist on ice.  I’ll watch it the next  couple days to make sure he didn’t jam it somehow.  Just a heads up realization that our father is getting old.  When I was icing his wrist, he was literally shaking.  Not nervously, but just shaking.  He’s alone, and like anyone his age, alone, he wants to  make sure he call reach someone at any point in time and know that they are there.  I’m going to call him in a few minutes to double check on him.  I’m sure he would appreciate a phone call.    Take care, hope all is well."

Our Dad is turning 82 in April.  There are 6 of us kids.  A brother that lives in Colorado, 3 sisters and 1 brother that live 10-20 minutes away from Dad and ME that lives 1 1/2 hrs away.  Would you Not expect at least a phone call when something like this happens....when it happened?  I mean at least then one of us could have made the choice to go be with him or call him through out the evening to check on him.  My husband doesn't see it the same way.  Of course he's an only child that lives the same distance away from his now alone Dad.

Am I over reacting here?  Just asking!
