Laundry Room Demo in Progress....

 Welcome Back!
Thank you for sticking with me and being patient while
I get back into blogging after a too long break.

I'm kind of playing catch~up here with a few projects. The first one was when we did a makeover on one of our daughter's bedrooms, you can see it here if you missed that. We had so much fun with that room, I'd love for you to check it out! Now we are onto our Laundry Room. This room has needed something done with it for a long time. I'm really excited to do what we have planned and share that with you along the way. If you enjoy seeing the progress of how rooms come about as much as I do, then grab a cup of something to enjoy and I'll show you what we're doing.

This is where I left off from my last post about the room redo. You can check out that post here.

Below is an old, long time ago, picture of the original built in cupboards
They're staying of course!

(to the right is a peek into our kitchen)

My husband mentioned that he was pretty sure the ceiling was the same 11' as the rest of the downstairs. So we decided to peek up there and see if he was right...

So he carefully removed the trim work...

Amanda being the Demo Girl that she has become wanted to take the first peek

We made a cute little video (I've never added a video to a post, so the quality isn't great)
Move over Rehab Addict, there's a New Girl in town!
(any tips on the video will be appreciated)

And he was right....

Wow...very cool!

So this is the before...

and the After...
minus the door fronts, but NO worries!

Look at all the extra storage space....
Really, why would they cover that up?
What do you think? Should we have removed the ceiling?
Would you?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Stay Tuned!

  1. It's looking good, Lisa! I can't wait to see it all done--and I bet you can''t either. I love the old cupboards and am glad you are able to keep them and just add on to them. Have a great weekend. xo Diana

  2. Much easier to get in to the blog today! Strolled right in without any checkpoints. Great!

What a great laundry room! Such a lot of work you've already done. Since you asked, no, I would not have removed the ceiling just because of heating issues, but it will look great. Love the built-in cupboards and am glad that you'll be leaving them. Some things in old house must stay or they become mere shells of old houses. Looking forward to the next phase.

    1. I'm so happy...maybe I've found the answer with your help of course!
I know what you mean on the heating issues...but the rest of the house had high ceilings, so it just seemed natural. I'm not a great helper on this phase. I am waiting for the decorating to begin!
Thanks so much for everything Vee!

  5. Satta king Play Bazaar This should be possible by having every exercise incorporate an obstruction segment, a cardiovascular segment, and an extending/adaptability segment.
