A few hints didn't hurt....

 Happy New Year to everyone!
Hope your holiday's were all that you expected them to be.
We had a wonderful time spent at Home with our girls and my FIL.
This was a "first" Christmas without my MIL.  There were a few tears shed as you can imagine.
But, despite all that we had a wonderful time together!

Now on to the hints...

I have seen some very cool mug racks/bottle drying racks on blogs that are vintage "french".  Looking those up on ebay I knew they were way out of our price range.  So I went looking for something close and more affordable to our budget.  I found one here and "showed' it to my hubby.  Of course it didn't hurt to just happen to leave it up on my laptop for a day (or 4).  I had started a bad habit of leaving my favorite cups on the counter and that just wasn't working anymore.

We are changing our dishware over to white.
My hubby loves to cook and says that food looks better on white plates.
So I had to pick up some white mugs for my new mug rack.
This little one I found at a Thrift store the other day and
had to have it.  It is small and probably meant for espresso.

I knew I had to bring it Home with me when I
looked at the bottom and saw
~French Cafe~
The ~e~ of Cafe is a coffee cup with steam coming out!
Can you say too Cute!

Another major hint I have been "laying" for a couple of years now
is having a nice picture of our 3 girls all together.
The last one I had of them altogether was
one that was taken at Sears or JCPenney
when they were real little.

So can you imagine my reaction when I opened  this....

I didn't get ONE picture....
I got THREE!
All in one frame to change out if I choose!
I just LOVE them because they are shown as
who they really are in person!

I couldn't have asked for a better gift that means more!
Thank You Girls!
I Love You So Much!

Hope you had a gift or two that means as much to you!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh the photos are so lovely. Which one are you going to use to display? (Not all?) I love the first because it looks as if they like each other. ☺

Changing over to white...all the best with that. Frequenting thrift stores and flea markets I take it. Are you going to buy a basic set of something?

Oh I'm so glad that your FIL was gathered in for Christmas. He must have been feeling a little lost. So glad that he was in the bosom of his family. God love him.

    Happy New Year, Lisa!

  5. You have beautiful daughters! What a great gift. We have been purchasing only white dinnerware lately also. It's easier to replace pieces when "somebody" isn't paying attention and SHE drops them. TJ Maxx also has great prices on white plates.

  7. What perfect gifts. Your "hints" were a great idea! How funny you should mention a mug tree. I have been on the hunt for an old wooden one for a couple of months now. I am hoping to happen on one in a thrift store sooner or later. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I would love to set the table nice when we eat and am going to surprise everyone tonight! Happy New Year dear lady. Patty
