It's beginning to Smell a lot like Christmas....

Mallory didn't have school today.
I don't know if where your at you've had the
threats to your schools from the crazy people,
but about 50 schools in our area have
and decided to close for the day.

So we decided to start our baking!
It's snowy and blustery cold out so it is nice to
have the oven going and the
Yummy smells don't hurt either!

We have made just a few loaves of
Orange Cranberry Bread
Mint Chocolate Chip cookies!

I found some cute little bread tins
with Snowmen on them and the lids were included.
I added just a bit of Red ribbon and I had these
cute little cardboard tags with twine ties.

A bit of sugar sprinkled on top
makes it extra nice.

I also found these cute little bags that came with
real Red ribbon and a cute little bell tag.

Makes a nice little treat for someone Special!
Wish you all lived close by
I would drop a treat off for you!

How is your Holiday Home smelling today?
Yummy I'm sure!

Stay warm and cozy,
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow, you have made these treats look like they've come from a fancy bakery! Have a wonderful Christmas. Big hugs to you.

  2. Yum, Yum!! Your house WOULD be smelling a lot like Christmas with all those delicious breads and cookies you have been baking! Sure wish I was your neighbor!! We were out on Friday as a furlough day!! NICE!!

  3. (Yes, to your first comment. Some people need a heart change or a brain transplant. Sorry that it's happening in your corner. I imagine it's in lots of corners. The police force has said, "There is no credible threat.")

What a good way to spend your time, though, baking and enjoying the day together. I do love the smell of Christmas.

  4. Oooh... those treats look so yummy. I love tins and ribbon.

I heard about various school closings, but our sons been home from college (2 weeks) and our daughter finished exams on Wed.
Its such a sad time... and to add the worry of threats... ugggg.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Lisa.

I would enjoy hearing from you!
