Lilies in the Front & Lilies in the Back....

On my morning walk with camera in hand of course,
I thought I would take a few pictures of my Lilies....
These are in the front yard....

I don't know the names of any of them.
There was a time in my life that "labeling" each and every
perennial in our garden was important to me.
Maybe it was because I was a "young" gardener
or maybe it was because we use to visit this amazing
Perennial Garden/Nursery when we lived in
Indiana and the owner had every single plant
marked.  It was on her property and we watched
her business grow.  It was lovely!
I wonder if it's still there!
Do you see my sad, sorry Hydrangea?
I think it needs to be moved.
Never a bloom to be seen....
ever!

My new camera seems to capture color
~beautifully~
All I do is point and shoot....

My husband has planted these daylilies in every nook and cranny
of our yard, and in case you didn't know
they multiply....
but you knew that didn't you!
He made the hummingbird....
poor thing his beak fell off.
Needs replacing!

Daylilies surround our Home....

We have a few ~fancy~ ones tucked in here and there....

Love these!

  Orange so bright!
Sully is that you?....

Now into the backyard....
Lovely Crimson color don't you think?

These are yet to bloom....
I think they're yellow,
maybe even double blooms, I can't remember!
That happens alot to me lately!

Just inside the gate....

alittle deeper in color....

~more hybrids~

Wonder when the will make their appearance?

Well, that's it for today!
We are getting all that hot & humid weather here....
Aren't we all though?
So I spent the day yesterday working on the pool.
Got it looking pretty good for it's age....
I think I will take a dip!

Hope you have a cool place to enjoy the hot weather!
Thanks for stopping by!

It's been a rough past week here.
Some very emotional things have happened
within my family and to people in my family.
This morning I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and decided to get up
and take a few moments for myself before the rest of the house
decided to wake up.  I enjoy doing this in the summer
because I can come downstairs and open doors
and windows and let the cool morning air seep in and
replace the stale, muggy, closed in air from the night.

So I made a pot of coffee and sat on my porch
and enjoyed the cool air and the chirping birds and
my fresh hot cup of coffee.  When the sun started to move to
my space on the porch, I decided to get my new camera
and see what I could catch thru the lens and play a bit.
Please join me on a .....

I love to tour a little bit in the morning light....

I wanted to catch the birds at the feeder,
but not get so close that I would scare them away.
This picture I took from my porch while sitting down.

This guy was sure enjoying this homemade bird food
~made for me by my little Great Nieces~

While I toured my yard I was also watering.
These lilies are the most fragrant in my yard
and I do not know the name of them....
Do You??

 We have raspberries....
they struggle, but we have them.

The other day I showed you a basket like this with the new coco liner.
I show you this with the old coco liner because I am wondering
if any of you know if there is some kind of liner for this
that would help it to last longer?

I was so excited when I put my pictures on my computer to see
how well I got a picture of this Chickadee....
Love my Chickadee's!

This guy sure has his head stuck down in there to get
some seed, must taste good!

 ~Peek A Boo~
Do you see him?

 Just watering my sink!
Love that I could catch the water sprinkling!

I really like this photo too....
Makes me smile when the birds eat from my feeders!

Well, that's it for my little tour.
Hope you are all having a delightful weekend.
It is very hot & humid here....
spending the day inside!

Is it Old or New?....

Hi it's been a few days.
I've been spending alot of time in our yard
sprucing it up and making it more fun and inviting
to be in.  I have recycled a few older things
and added a couple new things.
I'd like to share them with you....

 Here's a little of both....
the only new thing here is this little
wheelbarrow planter, I bought it recently at
JoAnn Fabric's during their 60% off sale.
I have had the Welcome picket fence for
probably about 5 yrs now, notice the E is missing
a little something, need to fix that still.

My basket liners have all pretty much fallen apart.
I have 4 of these hanging in various spots in our backyard
and have made 3 of the coco liners work using the 4th
for those.  So I just picked up one new one for this basket.

This is the birdhouse that got me started
sprucing up the "yard art" I have had around
for years.  I had the birdhouse on a fence post,
it had no bottom so I just capped the post with it.
The cup and saucer use to be on a wooden stake
but that kept falling, so I had my hubby put a bottom
on the birdhouse and the cup and saucer on the chimney.
I painted it with bright pops of color and I put bird food in the cup.
Now I am thinking I will paint that metal stand it's on Red....
like I did my old big wheelbarrow from a few posts ago.

This bird house was boring grey....
it was screaming to be painted
bright Red!

This guy as you can see was in poor shape.
I think he has been in our basement for the last few years.
Since I was in sprucing up mode I brought him out of hiding
and went at it.  He used to have ceramic eyes and a ceramic nose.
Nowhere to be found....
So I painted him with a fresh coat and purchased
some silly eyes and hung him outside.

 Looks like he's happy now....

Hope he doesn't scare the birds away....
Ha, ha!

But, this next project I really had fun with.
I purchased her about 4 yrs ago at TJ Maxx.....
it was Love at first sight!  The first couple of years I brought
her in at the end of the season.  But, sadly the last few I did not!

:0(

Hope she can forgive me!

I took a picture of her parts so I could look back
to try and paint them as close as possible to how they were.
Love her Smile!

 Some of her charm....
real metal pieces

 Some of her garden tools....
see the strings?  She use to have gloves that hung
waiting for her if needed.

I decided to leave a few of her parts Rusty
it's part of her charm.  But, I really had fun painting the other pieces.

Oh Yeah.....
I found some miniature garden gloves online
and ordered them, they are about 3 1/2 inches.
Not perfect in dimension....
but, she doesn't seem to mind!
(My girls really think I'm losing it now! ha,ha)

But, she's back and Lovin' her new self!

*******************************
Last year I purchased 2 new umbrellas for our tables.
Within a few days one of them broke,
they were the crank and tilt kind,
so I returned them and they replaced them both.
(I originally bought brown, but they didn't have more so had to get green)
Anywho,
this year when we put them out, within a couple days of each other
those umbrellas broke.  I bought them locally so I went back to the
place and explained my story.  Just so happened the owner of the
store and the manager where there at the same time.
Lucky for me the owner said bring them back
and I will refund you the money!!!
So I did and....

 Waa Laa....
I went to another BIG BOX kinda place
and purchased 2 new
~Pulley~
Umbrellas and had $40 left over!

Then I found a Great Deal for me
on a point and shoot digital camera
and it arrived a couple days ago. I'm still learning
about it, but so far I Love it!

and it came with these two CD's....
I still need to watch them.

If any of you out there happen to have this camera
and want to share any info, I'd love to read what you have to say.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my post.
I know it's a long one.

I'm also joining this fun party....
http://sunnysimplelife.blogspot.com/2012/06/welcome-to-sunny-simple-sundays.html
go take a look!

Hope you are having a Wonderful Weekend!
Please leave a comment and tell me what you're up to!

First....not sure what's going on,
but my Playlist is no longer "available" for MY enjoyment on my blog!
What happened, does anybody know?

So, this past week my camera broke.
So I have not taken the time to post anything new,
but I did have these last shots left on my camera
and finally have the time to share them with you.

I came out on our porch one day and out of the corner of my eye
I saw this Robin in the old terra cotta replacment birdbath
that I moved to this "yard art piece" my husband
welded together.  Luckily when I got back from running
inside and grabbing my camera he was still in there....

I was hoping to get a decent picture and
was afraid if I got too close he would fly away....

Remember this is what I used as a replacement when the original top
broke a few years ago.  It served the purpose!

 Then I moved it here....
just to have a place for it.

Little did I know, this Robin would
take his bath here.  Another one landed on  my
planter with my Hens & Chicks waiting for his chance.

If you've never seen a Robin take a bath....
they really get into it.  They flutter all over and flap their
wings.  It's kinda fun to watch!

I've only seen the birds land on this one for a little
drink of water.  No bathers yet!

Had a nice day in the yard with hubby working on the shed
and pool trying to get it in shape for the summer.
Hope you all had a delightful day!
Thanks for stopping and I'd love to hear what
you were up to this weekend!
