Some of you guessed correctly!
We headed to Mackinac Island this past weekend.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole 3 days we were there.
Perfect temps and lots of Sunshine!

It's kind of a tradition to snap a few pictures
on the way over while on the ferry.

 Our wonderful Mackinac Bridge....

 and of course....
The Grand Hotel

 We're getting closer....

 Our carriage....
We had it to ourselves.
If you look closely you can see my husband
waving thru the window.
A girl's got to get a picture....
Right?

 Riding past a B & B....
trying to get a picture.  Not easy with the sway of the carriage!

People seem to enjoy seeing a
Grand Hotel
carriage pass by!  I know we always do....

and here She is in all Her glory!
It does take your breath away a bit,
all the flags blowing in the wind and the sun shining down on her!

The next few posts I will share more of our weekend
with pictures.  For those of you that have never been,
I think you'll enjoy seeing this beautiful piece of history!

I'd love to hear how many of you have been there!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you stop again
for the next few posts!

Don't forget to let me know if you've had a chance to visit
Mackinac Island before!

  1. Oh yes, it's one of our Michigan treasures! Still love the movie "Somewhere In Time" that was filmed there. I need to put this on our to-do list for next summer!

  3. We've visited on many a summer vacation up north. I once even went to the Island as chaperone with my daughter's middle school band. We stayed at the Mission Inn that time. We've been so many times as a family, but, never once just the two of us!
The amazing thing about THIS island? There are NO cars. None! Nada! And they have to travel back and forth to the main land on ice in the winter. Pretty cool, hunh? tee hee

  5. Satta king Play Bazaar One approach to build the quantity of client contacts is to build up a page requesting email addresses. A crush page will urge your guests to impart their contact data to you. You may even need to offer a complimentary gift or uncommon offer when a guest shares their email address. The most significant objective here is to get individuals to join with the goal that you have their email list for future mailings.
