Let's build a shed....

this far corner of our yard use to hold an old
metal shed, of sorts, that was here when we bought
our Home in 2000.
Then we had what is called
~Straight Line Winds~
almost like a tornado
and it took the old metal shed down.
Along with a few trees as well!

So we took a few plants and moved them to this corner of our
backyard, some rocks, a martin house, a bird bath....
you get the idea.  But, we needed something to add
a bit of Omph to our yard.

So we decided to build a shed.
It's the perfect spot in our yard.
The house right behind in that corner,
that yard sits higher then our yard
and they can see everything in our backyard.
So this will help block their view!

 The flooring got laid

 Some wood was hauled in
I helped...
but of course no picture!

 A few cuts were made

 A few nails were nailed

The first wall frame is up

The first pit fire was lit

 Wall 2 was framed

 Hmm, a stage....

Today, after the morning rain cleared....
wall 3 was framed....
then, energy was lost
and it was time to call it a day.
But, it is started and it will be there for another day!
Now there are plants to be moved!
What did you do this weekend?

  1. I raked the back yard. Seems like nothing at all compared to you folks putting up a shed. Are you going to have windows and window boxes and trellises?

  3. Hi Lisa-- Oh my! I'd want something to block the view of neighbors too.
This is going to be nice. You back yard has a nice lay out. I like the fire pit too.
We inherited a fire pit last summer-- somewhat. Long story. But we have it out front-- I love it!
-have fun moving your plants and 'decorating' your yard with your new shed!
