Hmm, Scarecrow....

scarecrow is, essentially, a decoy. Traditionally, it is a human figure (or mannequin) dressed in old clothes and placed in fields by farmers to discourage birds such as crows or sparrows from disturbing and feeding on recently cast seed and growing crops.

Not so Scary!

I wonder what the crows think about her?
Or any of the birds and wildlife in our yard for that matter.

 How about her....
scared yet?
I didn't think so!

She looks cute though sticking her head out
of the mums though, huh?
Smiling at all who pass by her!

Keeping her eye on the bounty of
pumpkins and gourds gathered in  the wheelbarrow.
Scaring the squirrels away....
Hopefully!

 How about him?
Do you feel
Welcomed in or Scared to enter?

Hopefully Welcomed!

Either way she will be here
Smiling at all who pass by!

Hope your having fun getting your
Home ready for Fall!

Have a delightful day!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Your porch looks adorable and not all scary, I'm afraid. I haven't ventured outside to decorate yet but you've inspired me to get a move on. Very cute!

  4. Not scary to me, but I'm not a crow. They might (hopefully) see it differently.
I think you did a great job making your outdoor spaces look very welcoming and cute for the fall season.

  5. I love it and the big metal pumpkin. I wanted to make a scarecrow this year but the almost 100 temps have been discouraging.
