Pillow Cases....

Do you IRON them?

I Do IF they're
Really wrinkled!

No fancy laundry room!
We haven't really done anything to this room
but paint it.

Do you like
White sheets?
~OR~
Color~ed Sheets?

There....much Better!
All ironed & folded....

Smelling
Fresh
&
Clean.....

Mmmm!

My Grandma used to iron everything it seems.
She would iron my Grandpa's t-shirts (he was a farmer),
 even his handkerchiefs....
Remember those?  Not many men carry Real handkerchiefs anymore!

~I think of her when I iron my pillowcases~

What all do You iron?
or do you call it Press?

  1. Good morning Lisa! What a pretty wall display in your laundry room. When I was a little girl, one of my weekly jobs was to iron the pillowcases and my Dad's handkerchiefs. I don't iron pillowcases any more - but I do my husband's shirts. My mil irons everything, including underwear. She says they feel better when they're ironed. :)

  2. PS - Lisa, I'm trying to subscribe to your posts but your Atom subscribe button isn't working. It leads to an html page.

  3. My grandmother taught me to iron. She let me iron washcloths. I guess she fired I couldn't hurt those. As much as I love ironed pillow cases, and used to always iron them, I've gotten lazy in my old age and don't iron much of anything anymore.

  4. I like what you've done with your laundry room.
I do not iron my sheets. They usually come out of the dryer just fine.
I do iron though... I like to send my hubs and kids out the door with crisp lines. Wrinkles are a no, no.
Oh.. and I do call it iron, not press.
My grandmother ironed everything.. back before all the great wrinkle free fabrics.

  5. I call it "iron" and I don't do it anymore than is necessary. So John will never have his handkerchiefs or underwear ironed. I like all manner of sheets if they are comfortable. I particularly love my white Vermont Country Store set. Did you read this week that ironing is one of those "restful" chores? Couldn't prove it by me.

  6. Oh dear I have to confess I do iron pillow cases, but not sheets. I do prefer white linen. Thank you so much for sharing. My very first visit here I will follow on my way out so I know my path back here. Perhaps you will find the time to come visit me soon and do the same. I look forward to engaging more throughout the year and beyond. Take care. Cheers SpecialK XoXo

  7. Satta king Play Bazaar In the event that you are hoping to get the most traffic that you can, at that point you should use the same number of advertising channels as you can. This implies web showcasing channels, including online journal, discussions and notices, just as customary channels, similar to signs and postcards that lead individuals to your website.
