It's Official....

I am finally going to have a
Guest Room!
The older two are basically
moved out....
except for DD#2 who is Home for breaks.
So I have been a busy bee painting
and shopping for items to go in my new
Guest Room!
This is what I have been working on today....

I've been white washing the bead board around the room.
Have I mentioned I don't particularly care for painting
trim of any kind? Well, I don't!
Walls I don't mind....
especially if they use to be this color!
Sorry Mal, but I am so over this color!

This picture is a bit dark....
but it is called....
Antique Lace and I am really liking how it looks!
Better pictures to come, along with the great
buys I have picked up along the way for this room.
Hope to be done soon so I can share it all with you!

Well, I smell the corn beef cooking....
better go check it out.
Happy St. Patricks Day!

  2. Hi Lisa! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too!
Having a guest room is so neat. For years and years any friends who came for an over night visit had to sleep on the fold out sofa bed. Good one though it might have been, they had no privacy at all. It is no wonder my folks never spent a single night with us in 43 years.
For the past fifteen years I have had a pretty guest room and it has been a blessing.
We don't have many overnight guests anymore..but they do happen now and then, and each time they come, I am glad I didn't give in to my whim and turn the guest room into a craft and sewing room. I love my guests and want them to be comfortable.
Congratulations on your guest room! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
    Love,
    Mona
