My Pantry Re-Do....

I have seen a few of you out there in "blogland" that
have re-done your pantry's. So I took a good long look at
mine....which I have to say, I never really thought about
too much. I mean, it's just a place to put the food right?
Well, I have to admit, my pantry really needed a "makeover"
so today I thought I would....
just do it! I had this sign hanging above it already....
you know I love my signs!! But here is alittle peek at the before....

with the shelves and the food already pulled out.
Of course I had to wash out the whole space....
but you get the idea. I did alittle paint touch-up also.
But I want to possibly paint my doors a different color
so I didn't do those, yet!

Then I put in....contact paper....yes, I found some still around.
Usually it is so hard to find now. But I found this and liked it!

Here it is done....I totally LOVE it!!!
My hubby added some lighting on a couple of shelves
and I want to get some fancy containers for a few of the
items. But all in all, I think it turned out pretty nice. Now this
has been here forever and it is quite large for a built-in pantry.
The exposed pipes were there and I think it adds a touch of
nostalgia. I found some of that gripper shelf lining in a complimentary color and it looks quite nice.

Just alittle cozy corner of my home! I like the way it turned out,
maybe it will make cooking a bit more fun for me!

  2. It looks great! I like the lighting, it adds a nice touch.

I'm trying to get motivated to paint the insides of my cabinets. Contact paper sounds easier.

What a great transformation! Aren't you just soooo proud! Don't you LOVE contact paper...I have it on the bottom of my cupboards. A pretty pastel polkadot one. Thanks for the nice comments on my redo!
BTW- On the award...You can send it to how ever many people you like, you just have to give 10 honest scraps of info on yourself.

  6. What a nice redo! Those pipes sure come in handy as a towel rack. You had a wonderful pantry before, but now it's got that something extra that must make you smile every time you open the door. Great job!

  7. This looks great!! You did a really good job. I guess Brenda's pantry redo made you think about yours too huh?!! :) Now I'm gonna have to do mine. LOL I just bought some contact paper also. It is very hard to find. I found mine at a place like a Big Lots. I can't wait till it's all done. It's such a mess now. Thanks for sharing your project, you really did make it pretty and yes, it may just make cooking more fun. ;)
