A Sweet Thrift Find....

First I'd like to Thank all of you for the nice words yesterday.
Brad and I went out for a lovely dinner and spent the
evening talking, reminiscing about our 30 yrs together.
Where did they go?
Well, life and children and well, Life happens and
before you know it we're 30 yrs down the road and it seems like just
yesterday in alot of ways that we were just starting our life together!
~Thank You again!~

Now one of the 3 items in the picture above was a Thrift store find.
Can you guess which one?
My bouquet is from flowers thru out our yard.  They are beautiful!

But if you guessed this little cutie, you'd be correct.
It has the most delicate etching of flowers on it and
is the sweetest little thing.
I imagine a grandmother having this at her bedside so she can
take a little sip at night when she gets thirsty.
Maybe someday that will be me!

I would sit it on my bed tray, just like this and have it filled with
ice and the freshest of water.  With a sweet scented candle burning
to fill the air with a summery smell.

and fresh cut flowers in a little crystal bowl

Ahhh, it smells so good!

In the first picture my beverage dispenser was a gift from my daughter
The glass container I'm using for my vase was found in the clearance
section at T.J. Maxx, the lid was missing, lucky me.
Just in case your wondering!

Thank you for stopping by today!
I always appreciate your visit!

  4. Your bouquet is gorgeous Lisa, I love glads, and especially the sunset colored two tone ones. I would grab that little set in a heartbeat if I saw it, I always have water at the bedside and I have wanted one of those sets for ages. Great find! Happy belated anniversary:>)

  5. Congratulations to you two! It's quite a milestone, especially in this day and age, isn't it! Your post is beautiful. I can almost smell the fragrance of the candle from here. Lovely flowers! I need to remember to plant glads next year.
