Do you Crock-pot?....

One of our favorite family meals
this winter has been
Chicken in the Crock-pot....

I especially like to use my
Crock-pot
on days when I know
I won't feel like making a
meal at the end of the day....

I can just put it in
with all the seasonings....
I like to season the
~inside~
with seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper
&
a whole onion
&
celery
of course....

a few sprinkles on the
~Top~

cover and let it cook....
Filling up
our Home
with all the
Yummy Goodness
of a Home cooked meal!

What's your favorite
thing to cook in the Crock-pot?

You do Crock-pot don't you?

    1. Do share this recipe Vee. I've never heard of mock lasagna. We love lasagna too, but I've never made it in a crock-pot!

  2. YUM!!! Yup, we crock pot. This is a great soup: 1 can corn, 1 can cream corn, 1 can evaporated milk, 16 oz. frozen hashbrowns, season to taste and cut up smoked sausage. Pour it all in the crock pot, turn on low for 8 hours and you have dinner. Enjoy that chicken tonight, Dawn

  3. I have a question. Do you add any liquid? I've always been afraid to not add any; thinking it might damage my crock pot. My problem is that a cup becomes a half a pot from all the steam it creates. Looking forward to your response. Connie

    1. Hi Connie, Thanks for your visits! I do add a little bit of liquid. Usually if I have it on hand I will add chicken broth, maybe a 1/2 inch or so because the chicken does create it's own liquid. Today though I just added a bit of water. There will plenty of liquid when it's done I'm sure. Have a great evening, what ever it brings you!

  4. I crock-pot too! My new fave is a roast that has been salted and peppered and then pour a jar of Pepperoncini (sp?) and some garlic over it....great on it's own or on sandwiches! I bet your house smells divine!

  5. That sounds really good too. Thanks for sharing I'll have to try that next time I do a roast. And Yes, our house smells really good right now, almost dinner time!

  6. I love my crock pot.
I like roast in mine. Or Taco Soup... or Chicken and dumplins'...
I think my favorite thing to make is Roast (pork or beef or even chicken) with Taco Seasoning--- when it's done, you just pull it apart with a fork and serve it with taco fixings...corn tortillas, cheese, onion, tomatoes and lettuce (from the garden, of course)- and sometimes it's way cheaper than Ground Beef/chuck.
    Sooo- easy, so good!

    1. Great idea Pat! We're actually having tacos tonight, maybe I should rethink the ground beef and use roast instead. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I LOVE my crockpot. Especially in the winter, I use it at least 1 or 2x's a week.

I do make crockpot chicken.. but not as often as I used to. We had a scare with a tiny chicken bone and now I'm scared off.
BUT.. I would wash my chicken, Place it on rolled up balls of aluminum foil so it was elevated. I spray the chicken with pam, and then sprinkle Lawry's seasoning on it. Added 1 cup water. I can't remember where I got that recipe.. but the chicken has great flavor. I'm trying a new to me recipe tonight using chicken breasts in the crockpot.. mushroom soup, swiss cheese and stuffing. If its good, I'll share the whole recipe on my blog. I have a TON of crockpot recipes.
