Bee Skeps and Snowmen....

I know....odd!
But what do you do when you want to change it up for the season?
You pretend you don't see the Bee Skeps!
This is the before picture. This bathroom has been this way
for at least the last 6 years. I am growing, sadly, alittle tired of it
BUT, on the other hand, don't know what else to do to it.
BECAUSE....a part of me still likes it!

So I started hauling out and packing away most all of the
Bee Skeppy stuff....

and bringing in some Snowmen....
and women!

a Christmas goose, made by my husband, fills a huge gap.
And I, for now, kind of like the little landing area just lit up.

This Snowman was stitched by my mom several years ago when her eyesight was better.
I wrapped it around a little dowel with wire and hung it.
I like how it looks!
And then I added the little Dollar General birdhouse.

There is this huge pipe right in the way of the whole bathroom....
not much can be done with that. Next to it is a cabinet, the only place I could put
a tree, for mood lighting! It looks better in person. I don't know what to do with that
cord coming down from above....so we don't see it

(kind of like the Bee Skeps you don't see either)

Then above the commode are my two favorite little Snow people, with my little Snow manger picture. Above that is a Snowman made by one of my daughter's when they were in elementary, love putting that out.

And this is just a straight on shot, of our little half bath off the kitchen.
It is what it is....but, I do like it!

Now head over to Between Naps on the Porch:

  1. I like your cute decorations. Some ideas for the pole. Wrap it with garlsnd (grape vine with berries, so many choices)or ribbon, and/or how about hanging a wreath. command hooks are good for things you cannot damage with a hole. Just some suggestions. Cute bathroom!

  2. Oh Lisa...
Good Morning sweetie. I love your decorating ideas. The whole room looks so festive. People will go in and not want to come out.

That pole. A quick simple festive idea. Buy some of that wide red plastic ribbon that you use for outdoor decorating. Wrap that pole like a big candy cane. It would be beautiful, and simple and best of all inexpensive. I am so loving it. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Stop by soon. I love it when you do.

    Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

  5. I love the tree in the bathroom--I should do that some day!! I had to laugh about that pipe--I think you should pretend it is a chimney and have a Santa landing on it - lol

  6. Lisa, your bathroom is adorable but I know how you feel. My front bathroom has been the same for 9 years! I still like it but it sure is time for a change. After Christmas...

  7. Lisa,
I love the bathroom, as I posted before I love snowman and snowpeople. I will let you know when I post my "snowpeople", still getting them arranged, they tend to move themselves around while I am at work, lol. Seriously had a wrenched back that did nothing for lifting all the decoration boxes from the overhead shelf in our closet! I did want to say that the "treasures", you daughter's snowman, your husband's goose, and your mom's snowman she made when her eyes were better are the "brightest sparkles" in the bathroom. How blessed you are to have these wonderful treasures. Stop over on my blog some time and look at "Stitch With Love", my mom passed away the past March 23 and I was thinking of her a lot before Thanksgiving and did a post on the "treasures" she made and gave to me. I will also be posting her "Christmas treasures", my needlepoint gingerbread house mom made and I have a picture dad took of mom working on that (as well as one of her doing my quilt in SWL). So I truly know much that snowman means to you as well as the goose and elementry school snowman. Big hug and have blessed holidays with your wonderful family.
    Lynn
