These Three....

~Mallory, Hillary and Amanda~
keep me very busy in each of their own ways! Mallory is still in school, Amanda is "done" for the summer, sort of....she decided to take a few summer classes, and Hillary is done for the summer as of today at 4:00 p.m. I go and move her out of her college dorm today. I'm not sure I am ready for the changes that are about to take place in my home! Brad and I have gotten used to just having Mal around! Something about knowing we are all home, when there was just the 3 of us, kept me more relaxed. Now I have my college girls home again, with their own schedules (usually alot later then mine) turns on my MOM sensor again! I am not relaxed until I know the one that is still out....is home! How come they don't get that?
Someday, they will!!!

  1. I know EXACTLY what you mean. Once that first one went off to college, followed shortly by the second, the whole house kinda shifted to a different gear. Although just the one kid at home keeps things humming, it always seems almost "frantic" when the last one hits the door! By the time we all get used to living together again, off they go, back to school and then us moms have to get over missing them AGAIN!

  2. I think I have had a revolving door for the past 8 years!! But the fact of the matter is that I do love my kid's company more than some of the aggravation. I know someday they will all be settled on their own and although I will continue to have them in my life in a big way, I am not liking the idea of an empty nest! I guess I will just have to wait & see! And I hear ya when it comes to waiting up until they are all home!!

  3. I know what you mean to. We just have that worry thing that goes on. We have 4 grown children and still have 2 at home. I am actually looking forward to seeing what that empty nest feels like. (ha!) But I still will worry.

  4. Our children will always be our babies and we will always worry about them and want only the best for them. I know what you mean I see one of daughters everyday since we work at the same place, my other daughter about twice a month. My husband has to talk to the girls as often as possible(like almost every day). He just wants to hear their voice, he still misses them and they are both married.
    It's great to be Mom.
    Enjoy your day,
    Elizbeth
