Good Morning!
I'm having trouble lately coming up with anything that
might be remotely interesting to the few readers I have.
So, I either don't post at all and lose people....
or I post about mundane things and hope someone out there
finds the little I have to say or show with pictures
interesting to at least leave a
Hi back!
I do appreciate those of you that at least say
Hi!

I know comments shouldn't be important....
but I think we all really do enjoy opening our blogs in the morning
or evening and thru out the day
to see who may have stopped by to visit....
I sure do!

Lately I've just been trying to
~freshen things up~
around our Home.  This heat has me about worn down
trying to keep my Home in some order of cleanliness.
We do not have central air and some days it is miserable.
I'm sure a few of you out there know exactly what I mean.
So, I try to take advantage of what cool air there may be in the
early hours of the morning between 7:00 & 11:00 to do the most
important tasks: bed making, vacuuming, dishes....
you know what I mean.

It's hard at times to take time for myself....
like sit at my desk and come up with a post, check on
other blogs that I enjoy and try to get some motivation
to either post more, or to get cleaning around my Home.
You all seem to have it so together....
how do you do it?

I love my little space here!
It's messy and organized at the same time.
Funny how in your space you know where everything is.
I've made it comfortable for me.
I recently bought the pillow in the picture above at HomeGoods.
It is down filled and comfortable for my back on this hard chair.
The bird theme fits....
I had the choice of black or green.
Green fits into my color scheme so it was the obvious choice.

This morning I am enjoying a bit of
~Nutella & Peanut Butter~
on my toast along with my coffee.
Have you tried that?
It's a bit like eating a Reese's....
Yum!

My desk is positioned so I can look across the
family room and out the window
the sun is coming out and hitting the rock border just so
This picture doesn't do it justice, it's much prettier.
Notice the fan pointed in my direction....

 I found some
~burlap like~
wired ribbon the other day at WalMart.  I used it on the basket
on our front door (the first picture shown) and had enough left
to add a little something to this note holder above my desk.
I am still tweaking the wall space above my desk and trying to
not go over board where it looks cluttered.  Some of you out there
have arraignments on your walls down....
me not so much!

Again, loving anything birds like I do....
I found this ceramic bird at our local BIG box store
last weekend and couldn't resist adding him to my
collection of sorts.  He was clearanced, which my hubby
always appreciates.  Originally $19.99, marked down to $9.99
and I got him for something like $6.75....
He has a timer light in him...

 Every night about 9 p.m.
he starts to glow for about 4 hours.
Adds a bit of ambiance to the mantle....
Don't you think?

And of course I have my desk surrounded with
birds and things I love.

I'm glad you stopped by....
Thank you all who stick by me
I do enjoy your visits....
If you have made it this far with today's post....
Please say Hi....
Thanks again for your visit!
Have a lovely Last day of July....
can you believe it?

My Little Corner....

This is My little space....
when we repainted our room last fall
I claimed this corner to set up my desk.
I tweaked it today....
by that I mean cleaned up the mess that I had accumulated
I don't know about you but I have a paper problem.
I seem to collect piles of papers....
just in case I need them for some reason.
I Usually Don't!!

So this morning I got it looking like this....
which is clean for me!

I still have a desire to hang more stuff on the walls....
but, not sure what to do yet.
Hmm....
I have a file cabinet next to my desk, so I don't really need
hanging file space.  Although that could hold all my
papers I seem to think I need until I realize I don't!

and of course I like to have some of my
~Favorite Things~
right where I can see them....
Like this new little Birdie,
given to me by my new friend
~Bonnie~
Thanks Again My Friend
You've touched my Heart!!

 The sweet little
Keep Calm And Garden On sign
and the box of Birdie matches
was from my Hillary
for my Birthday, Thank you Hill!!
(still need to post about that ~my birthday~....it was The Best!)

 This space looks empty...
~to me~
but, then again I'm use to my laptop being Opened!

Yep, I love Birds
and Pretty Things
Like signs with Words....

What are some things you like around your
Special Spot?

Thanks for stopping by!

It's been a rough past week here.
Some very emotional things have happened
within my family and to people in my family.
This morning I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and decided to get up
and take a few moments for myself before the rest of the house
decided to wake up.  I enjoy doing this in the summer
because I can come downstairs and open doors
and windows and let the cool morning air seep in and
replace the stale, muggy, closed in air from the night.

So I made a pot of coffee and sat on my porch
and enjoyed the cool air and the chirping birds and
my fresh hot cup of coffee.  When the sun started to move to
my space on the porch, I decided to get my new camera
and see what I could catch thru the lens and play a bit.
Please join me on a .....

I love to tour a little bit in the morning light....

I wanted to catch the birds at the feeder,
but not get so close that I would scare them away.
This picture I took from my porch while sitting down.

This guy was sure enjoying this homemade bird food
~made for me by my little Great Nieces~

While I toured my yard I was also watering.
These lilies are the most fragrant in my yard
and I do not know the name of them....
Do You??

 We have raspberries....
they struggle, but we have them.

The other day I showed you a basket like this with the new coco liner.
I show you this with the old coco liner because I am wondering
if any of you know if there is some kind of liner for this
that would help it to last longer?

I was so excited when I put my pictures on my computer to see
how well I got a picture of this Chickadee....
Love my Chickadee's!

This guy sure has his head stuck down in there to get
some seed, must taste good!

 ~Peek A Boo~
Do you see him?

 Just watering my sink!
Love that I could catch the water sprinkling!

I really like this photo too....
Makes me smile when the birds eat from my feeders!

Well, that's it for my little tour.
Hope you are all having a delightful weekend.
It is very hot & humid here....
spending the day inside!

First....not sure what's going on,
but my Playlist is no longer "available" for MY enjoyment on my blog!
What happened, does anybody know?

So, this past week my camera broke.
So I have not taken the time to post anything new,
but I did have these last shots left on my camera
and finally have the time to share them with you.

I came out on our porch one day and out of the corner of my eye
I saw this Robin in the old terra cotta replacment birdbath
that I moved to this "yard art piece" my husband
welded together.  Luckily when I got back from running
inside and grabbing my camera he was still in there....

I was hoping to get a decent picture and
was afraid if I got too close he would fly away....

Remember this is what I used as a replacement when the original top
broke a few years ago.  It served the purpose!

 Then I moved it here....
just to have a place for it.

Little did I know, this Robin would
take his bath here.  Another one landed on  my
planter with my Hens & Chicks waiting for his chance.

If you've never seen a Robin take a bath....
they really get into it.  They flutter all over and flap their
wings.  It's kinda fun to watch!

I've only seen the birds land on this one for a little
drink of water.  No bathers yet!

Had a nice day in the yard with hubby working on the shed
and pool trying to get it in shape for the summer.
Hope you all had a delightful day!
Thanks for stopping and I'd love to hear what
you were up to this weekend!

New Things....

I don't really have a title for this post.
But I wanted to share a few of the new things
that I have picked up in the last few days.

Last Friday my husband took the day off
and we went down to see his dad and take him out for lunch.
But, before we got to his house we stopped at a few
places to look around.  One of the places was
T.J. Maxx...I don't know about your husband's,
but mine doesn't mind looking around this store
once in awhile.  For me, that's great!
We both enjoy looking at the Homegoods section....
(we love that store too)
anyway, all of a sudden he said,
"I see something you need!"
Wow....
he doesn't say that often!

He saw this cloche with the bird on top....
and said I needed it!
I LOVE this man!

Then on Monday we met for lunch.
Then I was off to window shop!
But, you know how you intend to
"window shop"
but, you can't help yourself
and you buy....
Well, that's what happened when I stopped into
Pier 1.  These little ceramic birds just called my name.
I thought they would look cute on my wire tree.
What do you think?
I'm not crazy about the ribbon.
I'm thinking of changing to a small twine or something
more rustic.  But, I was anxious to hang them so
for now I will be okay with them.
That really got me into getting out more
Spring....
so up to the attic I went and brought down
my Bunny weather vane.
I got him a few years ago at
Goodwill....
Love him!
This was the first cloche I ever bought.
I got it a few years ago at
Tuesday Morning....
This little display table is in our entry.

These wire cages cloches were a must have
too, the other day while I was out
ahem, window shopping....
I stopped at an outlet store
one of our major
Big Box
stores has for their overflow items.
I picked them up for $2.00 a piece!
In the actual store, they are still
$9.97 for the tall one
&
$7.97 for the short one.
I guess I got a good buy on those too!
 This little bundle of Nests
was also at the outlet store....
I really liked them for the tag on them....
Nest....
which I hung as well!

I really need to find more
miniature bird houses to hang.
Not finding them!
And of course I stopped at T.J. Maxx
and found this great pillow.
It is filled with feather down....
love those, they are so comfy to snuggle up to.
And it was clearanced for $15.00....
can't beat that!
Love this!

Hope your pre-Spring days
are delightful and fun!
What good things are you finding for your
Home?
