Some girls like makeup and shoes....

My husband will be Home today!
He has been away for the last 9 days or so.
So I've been busying myself making our Home
cozy with Fall pretties!

Some girls like makeup and shoes....
I like pretty cups and towels!

These are so soft and colorful and just say
Enjoy the season and all it's bounty!

I can be a bit fussy with my towels now girls....
Especially when they're as pretty as these!
Don't you like a pretty towel in your kitchen?
You know I do!

And my coffee tastes just a bit better in a
~Pretty Cup~
There's just something about it!

 ~shucks~
Sorry about this blurry picture....
But you can still feel the pretty can't you?

I'm just lovin' these new cups I picked up at TJ!

See that box in the picture?
My hubby tells me that's something for me!
He'll be Home tonight....
maybe he will let me see what it is!
Hope so!

Do you like a pretty cup and towel in your kitchen?
I'd Love to hear!

Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy your visit!

I "Tweaked" My Fall Table Today....

Today was one of those rainy, gloomy, stay inside and play kind of days.
So that is exactly what I did!
Keeping it real....
I had a PJ day, ever do that?
Sometimes it just needs to happen....
and today was that day for me!

 Nothing extravagant or "uncomfortable" here.
I want you to feel Welcomed and Invited at our table!

So ~Come on In~ and see what I did...

It's warm enough outside, so the doors Open....
This little birdie was a gift from my oldest daughter.

Hopefully you get the feel that it's
~Fall~
still....in our Home!
Despite all stores pushing Christmas already!

I'm still getting my Fall on around here....
How about you?
(oops, forgot to post about this chalkboard project)

I've even kept my Candy Corn dish filled.

Of course I have to have a good smelling candle burning....
Found this at T.J. Maxx recently!
okay who put the crumbs on the table?

Dessert plates ready, just in case....
protected by the cloche.

 Carafe ready and waiting!
(Cheers label found at Michael's)

These cute little felt napkin rings were found at Target
in the "dollar bins" or maybe $2.50 bin.
I couldn't pass them up, too cute!
They came in a package with 2 of each color!

 Oops, blurry dental cabinet....

Cute little hand painted wooden plate found at
(Where I won this pillow)

I love these little pheasant salt & pepper shakers!
~Use these daily~

This little pumpkin was made out of nylon's by one of our girls
in elementary school and it goes out every year!
I'm that kind of Mom!

Hopefully everyone that comes this season feels
~Welcomed~
that's the feel I'm going for!

What did you do today ?
Hope your enjoying this Fall season still!

Thanks for stopping by!

Good Stuff!....

My hubby's been away....
I'm sure you know what that means....
time to "play"!

I don't know why, but around here it always seems like
it's easier to get things in order when someone is gone for
a few days.  For some reason the routine changes
just enough to make it easier to
change things up,
even if it's just a little bit!

I saw these labels in a magazine not too long ago....
the latest one I'm sure.  So, I went on the hunt to find them
and there they were at Staples. They come in different sizes
and shapes.  Easy peasy chalkboard labels!

An idea I have seen all over blogland
last winter mostly
is what I was going for....

But first I needed some jars....
not too big, not too small....

But just right.....
you know, to hold the
good stuff!

Since the temps are changing,
it's time to get out the Cocoa Bar....
with all the fixin's!

Don't forget a cute cup and saucer....
to hold the tasty
brown sugar and cinnamon scone!

Now doesn't this look better then a bag and a box?
I think so too!
Do you have a Cocoa bar set up?

Thanks for stopping!
Hope your weekend is a Great one!

I decided to join the party....go check them out!

There was a giveaway....and I Won!

Boy it's been busy around here....
I didn't realize it has been that long since I have posted something.

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to a
Harvest Market at Saltbox Farm!

It was such a fun time, always is!
She has several of these thru-out the year.
The turn out is great and 100's of people attend.
That's how Great it is!

She's been featured in
Country Sampler magazine several times
so if you are a fan of that magazine, you've probably
seen her mentioned.

Their property is gorgeous and they are very
Welcoming people to open their "Homestead"
for people to come out to the country and enjoy the day!

There is a small "donation" fee to enter the Market
and the proceeds go to the
Tri-County Boys Basketball Program
this time she had you sign the back of your entry ticket
and she had a giveaway....

And the Winner was....

~ME~

I could NOT believe it when later that day
once we were Home
my phone rang and She said My Name!

I do believe I let out a scream....
Yep, I'm pretty sure I did!

Well wouldn't you if you just won this beautiful pillow?

It is absolutely Gorgeous and perfect for my Home!

Thank you again and again Sharon for picking out
My Name!

It is so beautifully appliqued
I'm afraid my pictures don't do it justice!

If you have a chance please take a look around her blog
here are some pictures from the Harvest Market that day.

If you get the chance to make it out to Saltbox Farm
and take a look around her shop right on her property
I highly recommend it....
If you've been there, I'd love to hear that too!

As always, Thanks for stopping by!
I enjoy hearing from each and everyone of you!

Night Views....

So after we walked around the island a bit

we headed back to the
Grand Hotel
to get ready for our evening!
I must say this place is gorgeous
all lit up at night.  My pictures sure don't
do it justice!  But, I hope you get the feel.
We had the perfect weekend to be there the
temps were perfect even after dark
to enjoy this beautiful porch!

There are over 100 rockers to sit back and relax in.

The ceiling of the porch and under all the
little "room stoops", not sure what they're called,
are painted a light blue, so the birds won't nest there.

This is the West end of the porch.

Outside looking in....
After 5:00 p.m.
only "proper" dress is allowed.
Men must wear a jacket and a tie,
back in the "olden" days women were
required to wear a dress, but now they allow
women to wear a dress or
nice slacks and a blouse or even a suit.

I like that they keep those traditions!

As the dinner hour comes to a close....

all of the waiters prepare for the next day.

The waiters are all men, that I saw,
and they are from the Caribbean we were told.

They return here year after year
and sometimes for generations.  When the season
comes to a close they move on to warmer climates
and work in other Hotels.  Saving their money earned
to send Home to their families.

I found that to be very touching!

This is the East end of the porch,
looking towards a golf course.  There was a party going
on, as you can see in the "tent" that's all lit up.

This is looking back toward the West end of the porch.
Beautiful geraniums and petunias.

Then it was back to our room...

Where we found that our bed had been
turned down with a chocolate on each pillow.

It doesn't get better then that!
