Flaunting My Reds my 3rd post party today....

Don't forget to check out my Hooked on post right after I
Flaunt My Reds!
I thought I would try this fun party too today!
It is hosted by:
http://southernlady-nancy.blogspot.com/

So when you done here, please go over to Nancy's
and checkout all the other Reds today!

Here are just a few of mine!

Hopefully, this little Red sign makes you feel welcomed!

I'll leave the light on....
this Red Cardinal is watching out
next to the little Red house
For this little Red bird on the wire tree!

He's got his eye on the Red berries on this little
teacup light....I left it on in the kitchen, just for you!

How about we have a seat now in my Red kitchen
and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, if you like!

These Red pillows help to warm up the space....

My husband made this beautiful window....
notice the touches of Red! It is so vibrant when the sun
shines thru in the afternoons! Helps to warm up my home!

Thank you for taking time to stop by today!
I hope to see you again soon, let me know you stopped
by....I always like to hear from new friends!

Now, if you scroll down you can check out my Hooked on post....

Hooked on Beehives....

For this Hooked on post, I thought I would share this
odd collection of mine. For some reason a few years ago....
well, actually more like about 8 yrs ago....
(does that mean it is time for a change?)
Anyway, I saw this cute border....
I thought it was cute anyway!

I fell in LOVE with it!
The previous owners had painted this half bath
pale lavender and where I have the border they had painted
everyone in their families names....
in Indian. Now, I am told I have some Indian in me too,
BUT, these words that I could not read, meant nothing to me
and the lavender....had to go! Not in my color wheel....
for this room anyway!

So, with that came decorating time!
We have these really high ceilings in our home
because it is an older home. So, my husband found about
4 real Beehives with the twigs still connected in an antique store and he
bought them and we hung them in our bathroom.
Odd, I know!

But they're Bee~less!!

I saw this rusty Beehive and of course had to have it....

And then I saw this pattern....
and of course had to stitch it!

And you know it's the little touches that count....
A Beehive Lady to watch over the hives....
and of course her little Beehive purse!

This little chair is the cutest thing....

On the seat is the sweetest quote....

To Make A Prairie It Takes

A Clover And One Bee

Emily Dickinson 1830-1886

And I saw this Primitive Bee Angel....
and she had to be included.
So that is just a sample of my Beehive collection!

Do any of you have an odd collection?

If so, I hope you share it sometime!

Make sure you check out all of the other Hooked on.... sites on Julia's blog!

I just saw this fun post, hopefully all of my above will count for this for today!

Frustration....

Okay, so I have a major Frustration and I'm hoping someone out there will

have a solution to it before I have to resort to this....

It seems, as I am working on a new post, that if I leave it for any reason,

say to add a picture or copy and paste something. When I return and

"preview" what I have been working on....

ALL my spacing is messed up, even when I hit save now!

Then it turns into this huge long post and I

have to go back in and fix the spacing only to have it

DO IT'S OWN THING anyhow!

Please help me if you can, I really don't want to have to get one of these...

Do you ever have this happen to you?

(P.S. I had all this spacing corrected and look how it is now)

My First Blue Monday....

But, I wanted to give it a try!
I hope you enjoy what I have!

This little blue dish is from my mom....
I thought the eggs looked pretty in there!

This blue and white stained glass piece is in my kitchen window....
It catches the morning sun off to the east....
Wakes up the whole house!

Another cute little blue dish from my mom....

This delicate blue hankie was my grandmother's....

A little touch of Spring!

Isn't She Precious....

I'm alittle sad today!
We have been waiting for weeks
to meet this Sweet Baby Girl....

~~ Claire~~
My niece flew in from North Carolina with her new baby
so we could all meet her today. We live far enough away
and we have snow bad enough, that it is best we stay home!
;(
We soooo wanted to hold this precious baby!
She is about 6 weeks old now.
Guess we'll have to wait until next time!

Winter Has Arrived Again....

When we woke up this morning,
we could see the pavement of the road.
A half hour later we saw this....

Did I mention the weather changes here quite often?
So, I got out one of the Cinnamon Coffee Cake mixes
and brewed a fresh pot of coffee. I thought it might be
a nice start to our morning!

Mmmm....
there really is nothing like something baking in the oven!
Then I decided to brave the elements and go outside and get my mail....
it arrived early today. Must be because of the weather!

My new and last issue of Country Home
was in the mailbox.
;(
Along with the letter above explaining what they will do.
(I just signed up for B H & Gardens last week)

I think I will have another cup of coffee....
maybe a piece of coffee cake, and enjoy my favorite magazine!
Has your issue arrived yet?

Hooked on Signs....

This is my first time doing this post. From
Julia's Blog, Hooked on Houses, so I hope I am
getting the concept of it. If not I apologize!
I am hooked on signs! I can't seem to have enough around my house.
I won't show them all today because I do have alot.
But here are a few of my favorites....

This one speaks for itself I think!
And I have it hung where everyone can see it.
I think I could do more of what this sign implies....
~ Simplify ~

I posted this a few days back. I just like the sign
and it fits with my phone.

This is in my half bath
off my kitchen. I decorated it with
Beehive border, yes-I know border is supposed to be out,
but I like it and it fits. I also have real Beehives hanging in there too.

Please check out Julia's Blog and visit some of the other great sites!

We All Have A Little Angel....

I'm sorry for the glare on this picture,
but I wanted to share it with you because it is
one of my favorites hanging in my HOME!

Can you see the old weary farmer....
carrying this BIG heavy wooden ladder....
weighed down with it all!
And then you see the littlest angel holding up the back end
to help out this poor tired farmer.
We all have our little angel....
taking the weight off of our shoulders.
When things get too heavy for us....
they're there to help us out!

The Crafty Side of Me....

I thought today I would share
some of the crafty things I have done.

This Snowman with Mittens, was started by my
mother a few years ago. Her eyesight isn't what it used
to be so I am going to finish it for her!

This is my first attempt at rug hooking. It turned out better
then I expected, now I need to learn how to bind. For some reason
I am afraid to even try binding!

This is the second rug....still no binding!

My hubby drew this bunny print....
my attempt at being free with the design.
I tend to be a pattern girl, but this was very fun to do
and I like the way it turned out

Just a fun little cross stitch!

This I made the year we bought our Home.
It is done on very fine linen with delicate stitches,
tiny little leaf buttons, delicate little ribbon roses and
the wreath on the door is tiny little knots of colored
thread to resemble flowers.

Thank you for letting me share a part of me!
(sorry for the blurry pictures)
